1948

Our heritage begins with brother-in-laws Joseph Caschette and Alfred Zillioux as tool and die makers at Eastman Kodak. They founded A&J Tool and Manufacturing Co. in the garage, under the chicken coop.

1950

Our first commercial location on the Genesee River in downtown Rochester NY

1958

After 10 successful years of operation serving customers like Xerox and Kodak, A&J Tool moved to 1036 Maple St. in Rochester NY.

1969

Mr. Caschette purchased the other half of the business and renamed it Genesee Metal Stampings. His two sons began running the business thereafter.

1978

Two partners were added with the opening of Genesee Stampings Inc in Arlington, TX. The GSI facility was built to serve Xerox’s new manufacturing plant in TX.

1984

Due to the explosive growth of the TX operation, Genesee Stampings made the prestigious Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies list.

1988

The four partners form The Genesee Group and acquire two more companies.
Key Products of Broomfield, CO manufactures custom 3-ring binders. (It is divested to the management team in 2000.)
Genesee Precision Fabricating (formerly Ryan Metal Products) of Irving, TX.

1993

Genesee Wester Inc. (formerly Wester Tool & Machine Co) of Englewood, CO is acquired for its expertise in deep drawn metal stampings.

1996

The Genesee Group purchased A&B Tool in Old Hickory, TN. The company’s niche is complex tooling and automotive components. The company is renamed Genesee A&B.

2001

Genesee Wester Inc. spins off from the Genesee Group and is renamed Metalcraft Industries Inc.

2006

Metalcraft purchases the assets of Precision Design & Manufacturing (PDM), a Denver based precision sheet metal fabricator.

2011

Metalcraft acquires the assets of Collins Machine & Manufacturing Inc for its core competency in precision CNC machining and extensive defense manufacturing background.

2015

Metalcraft acquires assets of Mystique Engineering & Manufacturing (Marysville, WA) with a long history of aircraft interior and medical device parts manufacturing as well as Dan’s Machine Works (Arlington, WA) an AS9100C certified company specializing in commercial aerospace machined components.
